HELP: Which way to go BK Chapt 7, 13 or unsecured Debt Settlement? Confused...
I'm needing some advice from hopefully someone else in this group that
has been down my road before or works in the legal field to help me
out.
Here is the situation.
Over the last two years I have sunk my family into $45K of unsecured
debt, due to me starting up my own side business. I do however have a
full time employer but I have started my own business to help with my
families income as I am the sole bread winner and my wife is a stay at
home mom raising our 3 year old son...
Debt reduction firms - a scam about Unsecured Credit Card Debt Settlement?
What is the deal with these "debt reduction" firms? I guess what they do is
have you stop paying your credit card bills, then after 6 months or so they
negotiate with the credit companies to get your debt reduced and set up a
payment plan. Supposedly they can get your debt reduced to about 60% and
get you debt-free in about 2 years. Of course this must completely trash
your credit rating, but is it worse than bankruptcy, in its long-term
effects? Can the credit card companies take...

I find myself in the unenviable position of being a judgement creditor.
Yes, the court gave a judgement in my favour, but now I'm faced with all
sorts of bills if I want to collect the money that I'm owed. It seems
that debtors can walk away, leaving creditors with lots of bills and
nothing is done about it.

I live in NSW & got a speeding fine.
The "Infringement Processing Bureau" sent me the fine. I did not pay

I recentley received a letter from a debt recovery agency sent to a
former friend of mine at my home address. The letter requested
repayment of a loan taken out by this individual at my address to a sum
approaching £4, 000 from the local council.
This person had no permission to use my address for any such
