A. they have enough info to steal your identity......better watch your credit files very carefully Don't know if this is the same company that runs freecreditreport.com, but WATCH OUT for those people. Only too late did I find out they have a history of "opt-out" expensive subscription services; when you get the free report you are automatically set up as a paying customer. If you don't read all the fine print to where it tells you how to jump through hoops and cancel the subscription you didn't want, you get hit for something like $85. I seem to have escaped certain financial death despite not finding out about this until I read my credit card statement, but various watchdog orgs report folks who cancelled within the 30 days and kept getting billed month after month by those crooks. Avoid freecreditreport.com like anthrax, and do some research on any other company who offers "free" credit reports to make sure it's not the same company under another name.
