gnomish vs. goblin engineeringEdwards Finance > General Engineering Q. is there really any reason to go goblin? gnomish death ray is cool and i saw a couple others that are neat but i wasnt sure how many people swear by goblin. A. Gnomish gives you several nifty and unpredictable gadgets, like the Death Ray, the Shrink Ray, and World Enlarger, and so on. These things are sort of useful, though they fairly often backfire with unfortunate (though amusing) consequences. For example, the Death Ray *usually* gives me a big advantage in a PVP fight, but at least once it has basically killed me when I used it. Goblin Engineering is not necessarily much more reliable, but the things you learn to make are more straightforwardly useful in a fight. Basically, it's mostly a bunch of explosives, and boy, are explosives useful in PVP. Besides the obvious advantages of an extra source of damage, you also learn to make several things that stun your opponents, which can be a huge win in PVP.
