Bad, Very bad Credit ?
Q. I have a very bad credit and I am sure same goes for a lot of people on this village square. The questin is how can I get it rectified and if I pay all the bad credit off now , will it enable me to get a credit card in the near future? Please help.
A. Just how bad? Did you get a credit report that says you're a credit risk? If not, please get one. If it doesn't say anything bad about your credit, you may wish to start out by getting 'secured' credit cards (you pay a deposit and you're given a credit limit equal to or slightly above your deposit). If you're at the point of bankruptcy, then you've got some problems which could take a while to solve. Anyway, for the rest of us, this should be a lesson that we should try as much as possible not to put ourselves in situations where our credit is messed up. Pay your bills on time, try not to spend way above what you are making, etc, etc. Do not listen to those who might tell you to ignore payments of debts you might owe. This should also apply to when you are dealing with your friends. If you do not pay back what you owe them when you say you would, it hurts your credit, as they would be reluctant to loan or give you further assistance in the future.
