Question regarding joint credit card/secured or unsecured Card Bankruptcy

Edwards Finance > Loans

Q. I have a quick question. I signed on with my wife for an ATV from yamaha card. She was the main signer. I co signed. I declared bankruptcy 2 years ago. If she declares it now,can they come after me for payment? If so,will I have to pay it? I am out of work now. Also, they are calling it a secured credit card. The ATV title was in our name and had no lienholders,so we sold it 2 years ago after it was crashed and demolished. Will that go away with bankruptcy or can they still somehow try to get money for it even though we dont own it anymore? I would have thought that they would have their name on the title as a lienholder but they didn't.

A. -You _did_ list it as a debt on your application for Bankruptcy? -If the ATV loan was taken out *after* you filed your previous bankruptcy, yes, they can come after you for payment if your wife now files. See above.
