Q. According to this page, http://www.trw.com/iss/is/isq1.html#question4, you can receive one free credit report from TRW each year. You have to provide them some info about yourself and a copy of a bill or your driver's license. I just sent my request in this weekend, so I don't know how long it takes or how accurate it is. any comment?

A. I worked at GMAC for a year or so and TRW is one of the three main credit reporting agencies that commercial lenders look at. I send for my report each year to make sure everything is accurate. If it reflects bad credit or late payments that are false you can write to them and they will look into it. Equifax, TRW, and Transunion are the three main credit reporting agencies but I know Equifax will charge you for a printed copy of your report even if you have been turned down for credit. Like I said it is a good idea for everyone to get there report checked once a year. Computers only print what people put in them and with the millions of people in this country there are bound to be mistakes.
