Q. Why "Repo Man" is great! I just saw a brief thread on Repo Man, and I had a question/comment. Did anyone notice all the modern directors ripping off this film? Not that it's "bad" ripping off... for ex: Pulp Fiction, the whole idea of opening something and you don't know what is inside (the briefcase) it glows, it's important etc...

A. - I think "Repo Man" is a great flick (and that "Pulp Fiction" reeks), but the glowing briefcase has its origins in Robert Aldrich's remarkable ultra-noir Mike Hammer flick. - There was some talk around here a while back about a remastered version of this, incorporating some deleted scenes or some such. I got the impression that this was for theatrical release, but does anyone know any more about it?
