Prospective tenant credit report?Edwards Finance > Credit Report Q. I had posted a question a few weeks ago related to starting eviction proceedings for tenants that my parents had in a ski-house they own in Pennsylvania. I'm pleased to report that the tenants are now out, all past monies due have been paid in full. Alls that it took is a phone call to them announce the threat of a lawsuit. I told my parents they were lucky in this case. Now, I'd like to provide them a secure way to get a credit report on future prospective tenants. What do they need in order to obtain a current report - a signed application? Who do they contact in order to get a copy of this report? Any assistance or guidance is most appreciated A. As far an obtaining any credit reports, most property managements places can do it. If you don't find anybody at a resonable price to run a report let me know, I can run one for you. Just have them fill out a credit authorization if you don't have one, let me know and I can fax it to you When the prospective tenants fill out the rental application, have them also sign an authorization giving you permission to obtain their credit file. The information that the credit bureaus need are name, current address, date of birth and Social Security number.
