Question About Cell Phone Equipment ?

Q. Over the past couple years I've changed cell phone services and have accumulated a couple of cell phones. One is a digital Nokia about a year old. The other an older Motorola 3 watt. Question is are these useful for anything or worth anything? I can't believe it's the trash can for them, but when getting another service they give you another phone.

A. I have heard that 911 emergency will work, even if the phone isn't on an active account. You could donate them to needy folks who for an emergency link - oldsters with medical problems, for instance... Most cities will collect them for distribution to the battered wives shelters, as he said 911 will still work. I think you'll find that they can still make emergency calls (911, 999, or whatever you use) regardless of whether they are still attached to a service.
