What are the rules that apply to SBA Loans & Personal Bankruptcy ?

Q. Anyone know what the guidelines are that apply to obtaining an SBA loan when there has been a personal bankruptcy discharged in the past 7 years?

A. Go for it. If there are mitigating circumstances, and your credit has been good since the discharge, then you have a shot. You may get thrown out of the Low Doc express route. They will ask you for a written statement explaining the bankruptcy. Its is just one more obstacle you have to overcome.
