Reverse phone look-up ?Q. Is there such a thing (site, program, ... whatever) that allows me to track a phone number to the owner of that number? I'm starting to get more spam that's well camouflaged and hard to crack. But they often have phone numbers in them. I'm reluctant to call those numbers as I don't: 1) want to pay for some outrageous by the minute service, 2) permit them to get my phone number via caller ID. What I'm hoping for is kind of like a reverse 411. Or am I just pipe dreaming? A. Is there any way to put pressure on appropriate persons at the phone companies to get them to kill a spammers phone response account? I've never heard of that being done, and suspect that as long as they pay their bill, the telco will keep them as a valued customer ...
