As some of you well know, Hannon goes in for all sorts of nut science. If it violates the laws of thermodymanics, no problem. "You create your own reality." As "proof" that scientists are f**ked when they refer to well known physical laws to debunk his "free energy gods" (Wiseman, DePalma, Bearden, Meyer, etc.) he often refers to the PEAR labs as proof of his position. A quick tour through the PEAR website looks impressive. It also looks like it would satisfy the Randi Challenge if repeated under Randi's controls. Question: Has anybody ever examined the PEAR findings with any skepticism? Are their experiments adequately controlled? Has anybody from JREF looked at their work in any detail? Do they really have solid stuff supporting these so-called anomalies? Or is the PEAR website the product of a tenured professor on the downslope of his career and he's being given great latitude because it's in his contract?
