How is CIA Phone and Internet Service?Q. I am considering changing my my internet/phone to CIA. I am currently with Shaw high speed and Telus Home Phone service with no calling features. Shaw Internet$40 + Telus Phone$30 = $70/month (no calling features) CIA says $40/month How is their service? How is the internet connection? What has been your experience? A. Especially fi you don't have Cable TV.. cause CIA is a Shaw reseller. :) However if you have cable TV with Shaw you might aswell just sign up with shaws internet directly and bundl eyour services up to save a little money - otherwise its exacetky like having shaw for 10$ less than shaw itself - Absolutely terrible, I'd pay triple the price for Shaw directly. CIA are incompetent, understaffed and unethical. Don't even consider them unless price point is your ONLY reason for choosing a provider. Does CIA cap their internet download amount? Telus used to have virtually no cap but got a phone call from them last week threatening to shut me down. I'm still on a contract with them so I"ll play alone for now. But if CIA has no cap, I'm jumping ship! How about multi hour waits for tech (non) support. Tech (non) support that couldn't get my email to work reliably for over a month. Escalated to network (non)techs that couldn't get email working right either. Getting cut off repeatedly while waiting in the phone queue for over an hour. Getting a call from them 6 weeks AFTER I cancelled from the guy that was coming to hook up the phone LOL. Charging my credit card double what they should have. How's that for starters Bernie?? Well that's better than just saying bla bla bla and having no experiences to back it up. So are you with telus now? How are they so great? I've had bullshit experiences with telus and shaw..the only one that really went smooth was nucleus. CIA *might* be worth paying half of what telus charges...if you don't need too much tech support. I've given up on telus support, and my email with them STILL doesn't work. I use gmail now anyways.
