PBX Support ?Q. Going to start with tring to add PBX support to openbsd. This involves porting existing free PBX software and getting some pbx cards to work. First off i need to call ma'bell and get the phone lines active, as all i have now is a cell. If anyone can point me to willing companies, besides the ones from the last thread about this about a month ago, that would be great. A. It's not clear to me what you're actually doing. The switching equipment in a telco CO is *not* a PBX. Also, PBXes *usually* (but not always) use digital terminals, so again I'm not sure what you're talking about. If you're interested in low-cost PSTN gateway cards you could look at the Quicknet stuff. To my knowledge there are no OpenBSD drivers yet. If you're interested in a low-cost PBX or key system - HAH! But there are some lower-cost limited function few-port switches from Panasonic and a few other vendors. not actual _real_ pbx's. just want to port the software and get the cards working, cause it isnt in openbsd and i wanted to use it. I could use linux, but dont want to, and figured this would be fun. nice to add a whole new sect to openbsd's ability :) I have like 10 phone lines in my house, and they arent hot yet, but should be enough to start playing around with... only real issue is going to be having to pay for the hardware. hopefully some venders will donate hardware for software support.
