pbx software ?

Edwards Finance > Phones

Q. Does anyone know where i can download some pbx software for my own phone i have 3 way calling and a windows box i have tried personal pbx and was unsuccessfull with it . If i can get this stuff i will be more than willing to post the access code for you all.

A. A pbx would require a switch. to make a switch out of your computer you need a multiport modem. and I dunno any software that would let you make a pbx out of it. the easiest idea is to call ur phone company, request for pbx lines, make a hunt group, connect those lines into a home made pbx that you can make, and make the switching manual, or however. that's the best solution i can give ya. Its nice to know that you're being so open and honest with everyone. Personal PBX is a bunch of crap (sorry). Its not worth it. and seriously, there is NO real solution to your problem. You could try getting a gold box together or using a payphone as a 'diverter' (send me an email if you DONT understand what I mean by this). Well, there is the cyber-genie, but thats not much of a PBX, and well, it costs major $$$. and I wouldn't give out k0des. esspecially if its from YOUR house. knowing the conf wh0res who lurk here, you'll get TONS of 1900 calls, and calls to fricken Brazil, and crap. The only solution I can try to give you would be to set up a diverter (either from YOUR house for your 'personal' use, or from some other poor fools lines for MORE intimate 'personal' use, hehe). pick up a dialogic card (on ebay) 2 port or 4 port and there is software out there todo what you wanna do with it (dialogic cards are used for smallbusiness i guess u could say SOHO's or tiny companys very nice VMB/PBX cards =) also make killer wardialers with the right software !!) You should feel like a total ass because you didn't go research. Try some of those wonderful search engines. PBX stands for private branch exchange, and regardless of what people tell you, it's just a set of lines defined to a customer in a switch. Most people reffer to PBXes as personal switches though, and what they are really reffering to is PBX switches. But that's like saying ANACs can be called ANI because ANI is what ANACs use...
