Nationwide it is estimated that $10 billion worth of 100 percent or higher LTV loans will be financed in 1997 - up from $3 billion in 1996 and practically nothing in 1995. Volume for 1998 is projected to top $20 billion. These loans aren't cheap. Rates range from 13 to 16 percent. But on the other hand they are a lot cheaper than 18 to 22 percent charged by credit card issuers. Lenders are willing to make these loans because of the relatively good payment history of the borrower. If you would like to dramatically decrease your monthly household expenses, this program maybe just would you need. No appraisal is required and the streamlined processing is super fast.
