Q. Anyone have any experience of the Panasonic 208? It seems to be the only analogue line mini pbx that has a least cost routing feature.

A. We used to have one, there are several software iterations - make sure you get a recent one - the EPROM from Panasonic costs as much as the PBX! Least cost routing in the one we had was limited to one alternative (meant to be Mercury) and the setup was quite crude, everything not in an exception table went via LCR. If you are using system phones the line select button bypasses the LCR, later software versions allow you to stop this happening. Make sure it comes with manuals, they cost about GBP30 each from SEMA otherwise. It certainly isn't the only analogue 2 line exchange with LCR. should also have said you need at least one system phone for programming the thing. How about S308 c. £199 inc VAT and two LCR diallers at £58.75 inc VAT. No special phone needed.
