Microsoft Office 2000 Pro ?

Edwards Finance > Phones

Q. I was told that somewhere on Microsoft's site there's a page you can order a free CD of Microsoft Office Update SP1 instead of having to download it. My friends did it..but can't remember the URL.

A. I pulled this info from the Microshaft kb, but as usual, the link for odering the CD's points to useless information. There is no information about ordering the SR1\1a CD on the page the kb link points you to. Gotta love it! How to Obtain the SR-1/SR-1a Update on CD Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a can also be obtained on CD. An SR-1/SR-1a Update CD is available. This CD contains the complete SR-1/SR-1a Update, as well as a version of the SR- 1/SR-1a Update that is designed to update administrative installations of Office 2000. For more information about ordering the CD, see Office 2000 Service Release (SR-1a) Frequently Asked Questions at the following Microsoft Web site: http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/2000/O2kSR1FAQ.aspx A CD set that contains the complete version of Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a may be ordered for a minimal cost plus shipping and handling. To order this CD set, call the Microsoft Order Desk at (800) 360-7561. You will be required to provide proof of ownership of a Microsoft Office 2000 retail package to order these CDs. In addition, packages of Microsoft Office 2000 in the retail channel will eventually contain Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a CDs. In the U.S. or Canada you may be able to still order the Office 2000 Service Release 1a (SR1a) CD through http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2000/appndx/785_Office_2000_SP2.htm (it includes the SP2 update) You can order the Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) patch CD (which doesn't include the SR1a update) through http://microsoft.com/office/ork/xp/journ/o2KSP3cd.html or you can phone 800-360-7561 to order the patch/updated CDs.
