Medical Office Phone System. Office 2 ?Q. Hospitals and doctor's require an SSN and other identification in case your medical insurance is not valid or you're using someone else's. Like I said, who wants to argue about it when you're sick? A. Earlier you mentioned doing tax parcel checking. Fine. A friend of mine did the exact same thing, except using manual records at the tax office; and he got a substantial knockdown of his property taxes as a result. If the tax office wants to keep it on computer fine, but keep it within the office, that is, if someone wants to see the data go down to the tax office. If your medical insurance isn't valid, then the provider needs to check on your creditworthiness. Do you disagree? Again, I have never been asked to provide my SSN when seeking medical care. Ever. The examples you cite each time prove to be miniscule deviations from the massive trend. I personally dislike targetted advertising (and for that matter, advertising in general). Why is that so bad? It's my data, I should be able to say what is kept and what isn't, and I should always have access to it and the ability to correct it if it is wrong. EZPass, FastTrak et. al. don't need to keep anything more than a debit entry containing a date/time and amount. The actual location is irrelevent to billing and shouldn't be kept. I'd be perfectly happy with the same applied to Cell phone records. Date/time/duration should be all that is kept. The primary purpose of an office building is to provide a workplace and working environment primarily for administrative and managerial workers. These workers usually occupy set areas within the office building, and usually are provided with desks, PC's and other equipment they may need within these areas. An office building will be divided into sections for different companies or may be dedicated to one company. In either case, each company will typically have a reception area, one or several meeting rooms, singular or open-plan offices, as well as toilets. Many office buildings also have kitchen facilities and a staff room, where workers can have lunch or take a short break. Standard facilities in modern office buildings * water * electricity (distribution through entire office space with many separate points) * private branch exchange * optical connections to local telecommunications providers * parking (often underground under the office) * structured cabling (category 5 or better) for internal networking and telecommunications
