Q. Low Income Housing Tax Credit ? Is their merit in investing in low income housing in order to benefit from the tax credits? A $10,000 investment can yeild a $1300 tax credit per year for 10 years. I'm told not to count on seeing my principal back after the holding period because the properties will probably be worthless. Any advice?
