insane long distance phone companyQ. I joined a phone company 3 month ago called international plus. After I got the bill from them, I found that all my local calls were charged as long distance and all my international calls were 4 times higher than I was told. I tried to call their customer service more than 30 times and got no proper answer. So I left them. Today, when I called them again to get the right bill so that I can pay them off, I was so suprised to be told that they will never correct my wrong bill unless I switch back to them. they said this is their policy to keep their customers. If I don't switch back or if I don't pay the wrong bill($300 more), they will hire debt collection company to "harass" me and they will try to damage my credit. I really couldn't believe my ear when I heard this. A. If it is really happening as you describe, don't file a lawsuit yourself, but contact your local DA. What they are doing is very illegal. I'm sure they aren't prepared to deal with charges which can result in their loss of license. www.ldpost.com are reselling comtech21. In the case of problems, you can call either, both pick up the call immediately, talk like human beings, and do what they say. I think it's because both are not very large companies. I run a small business and they were slovenly in moving our 1-800 line... after a month of trying I gave up and used a small 1-800 provider which I'm happy with. AT&T also seemed to be nickel & diming the heck out of our cell phone service, so we cancelled the cell phone. I don't want to see AT&T in this household ever again. For outbound calls I always use a 1010 service (seems to be cheaper) and consult the http://10-10phonerates.com site (which seems to be a LD watchdog).
