My son is almost 20 - he owes approximately $10,000 total debt, due primarily to non-reimbursed medical expenses incurred during drug rehab - he has no assets, but supports himself with work "off the books" for cash - he currently lives in Florida - how much would it cost him to file before the bankruptcy laws change? We (parents) live in Texas - he could possibly file here using our address - would there be any advantage to him filing in Texas?
