Global Engineering DocumentsEdwards Finance > General Engineering Q. I thought I remember hearing that when you buy any documents from Global Engineering that if the specs are ever updated, that Global was supposed to send out new documents for free. Today, I got an announcement in the mail from Global saying that "I am using outdated material" and if I want to get the new stuff there is a $53.00 charge. (For material that was originally something like $70-$100). Am I misunderstanding something, or did I just dream that Global was supposed to send out new docs? (I thought that's why people didn't mind paying the expensive prices because of the free updates.) A. I did get EIA TSB-37 from Global when it came out, and they sent me a notification when EIA TSB-37A became available, but I never expected it to be free. (Standards Australia always charge for update notifications on documents you have, although they do at least provide detailed update lists in their monthly magazine).
