A. -Try Pile Buck, Inc. They have a series of geotechnical books such as Soil Mechanics Earth Support Systems & Retaining Structures Morring Systems Breakwaters, Jetties, Bulkheads & Seawalls Coastal Protection Steel Sheet Piling Design MAnual and others They are reasonably priced. There phone numbers are: Voice: (407) 744-8780 Fax (407) 575-9748 or Write to: Pile Buck, Inc. Attn: Publications P.O. Box 1056 Jupiter, Florida 3468-1056 I don't know if they have a web site. -Dozens of them - two of the books I am familiar with are Craig: Soil Mechanics and Tomlinson: Foundation Design and Construction. Both tend to highlight UK practise. If you don't have access to a local bookshop which stocks geotechnical engineering books try one of the online internet book shops.
