What is a computer engineer?

Edwards Finance > Computer Engineering

Q. *HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SEEKING FUTURE JOB* I am think of taking computers in College. What type of jobs are there, that you can make a living off of, in computers. What is a computer engineer? What is the difference between computer engineering and computer science?

A. -Look around on the net, or use something like PC Lexacon. I'm not sure, but I think computer engineering is exaclty what it says, engineering computers...hehe...and computer science consists of a bunch of junk to do with computers, my cousin is taking that, and he failed most of his courses this year and probably won't be going back, hehe. I think I'm looking into the same thing as he is, except, not failing. -Programming and networking is where the money is, If you can program in any high level language and are familiar with SQL and relational databases or distributed systems you will go far. Also remember that a PC with Win 9X is only a small percentage of computing no matter what bill gates thinks Learn C and Linux / Unix
