This encompasses a lot of stuff, ranging from computers to power systems to radio frequency applications, to fibre optic systems, etc., etc. > environment is like for an electrical engineer? Electrical Engineers generally have a working environment consistent with that of other professionals such as accountants, doctors, lawyers, etc. Occaisonally an electrical engineer might have to step out of the office to the plant floor or out into the field to look at something, but not terribly often. Engineering is also the foundation for many careers in various areas of business. You'll find an incredible number of business leaders out there have engineering backgrounds, albeit they may have subsequently earned designation as accountants, lawyers, etc.
