Need information about the electrical engineering profession

Q. I've just recently became interested in electrical engineering. Can you please tell me what exactly an electrical engineer does and how the working environment is like for an electrical engineer?

A. -Electrical engineering is concerned with the production, transmission, and use of electrical energy. This encompasses a lot of stuff, ranging from computers to power systems to radio frequency applications, to fibre optic systems, etc., etc. Electrical Engineers generally have a working environment consistent with that of other professionals such as accountants, doctors, lawyers, etc. Occaisonally an electrical engineer might have to step out of the office to the plant floor or out into the field to look at something, but not terribly often. Engineering is also the foundation for many careers in various areas of business. You'll find an incredible number of business leaders out there have engineering backgrounds, albeit they may have subsequently earned designation as accountants, lawyers, etc. -Mostly electrical engineers go to meetings, at which they discuss budgets and schedules. They work on presentations for clients, most of which take up vast amounts of time and go no-where. Electrical engineers also spend a lot of time filling in time sheets, on which they get to record the time spent preparing budgets and schedules, and the time spent doing proposals.
