Electrical Engineer/Electrical DesignerEdwards Finance > Electrical Engineering Q. MCM & Associates, a rapidly expanding Mountain View (south bay) consulting and contracting firm engaged in the engineering, design and construction of high technology manufacturing and R&D facilities, has immediate openings for the following technical positions: Senior Electrical Engineer Senior-level electrical engineering and design assignments with particular emphasis on power distribution, lighting, controls, and life safety/auxiliary systems for advanced technology projects. Duties include project engineering from concept to construction, client contacts, field investigations, planning and development of construction drawings and specifications, establishing building code compliance, scheduling, estimating, submittal review, construction oversight, and related project research. Supervision and developmental training of junior engineers and designers, CAD operators/drafters and support personnel expected. Candidate must be capable of a high degree of independent decision making and function welll autonomously. Higly refined organizational and planning skills essential. Must possess a comprehensive analytical aptitude. Must be proactive, professional, goal-oriented and confident before clientle. Persuasive communication style expected to play key-contributor role on projects and in support of long-term department and company objectives. Occasional opportunities to assist in department management are expected. Possible light travel involved. Requirements: Minimum 10 years increasingly responsible experience in complex commerical, industrial, institutional and governmental facilities and infrastructure related electrical engineering. Computer room and data center construction experience a definite plus. Familiarity/proficiency using AutoCAD R14 preferable. Intimate knowledge of the NEC, UFC, UBC and local/state codes and amendments a must. Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering with power option. Current registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer in California, or ability to obtain same within one year. Compensation commensurate with experience.
