WANTED: Old electrical engineering book!!Edwards Finance > Electrical Engineering Q. I'm a graduate student working on MRI at UT Houston; I've lost my copy of Terman, F.E. _Radio and Electronic Engineering_, 1955 (McGraw Hill) and am desperate to get a copy. I've checked all the used book sellers around houston to no avail. I'd also love to get my hands on a copy of Terman, F.E. _Radio Engineer's Handbook_, 1943 (McGraw Hill) In fact, I'd be interested in any books from the McGraw-Hill electrical engineering series published in the 50-60's. My question is, How could two outstanding books like these *not* get updated and reprinted? (Even if not by Terman himself) How could such an excellent series of books die out? A. -I have a suggestion, but, you probably won't like it. You can try all the Half-Price book dealers. You probably won't get the cooperation on the phone. You will more than likely have to go look for yourself. They most likely are the best bet for such an old copy, or you might try Brown Bookshop downtown. -I'm new to responding to postings, so please forgive any lack of following etiquette. There is an an excellent used book store in Portland, called Powells, which has both a general store, and a technical store. The technical store is on the internet. To get started send a message to them and they will send you email about how to use their service. The initial message should be sent without an actual message or subject.
