Computer Science/Engineering I've planned to study in California just after High School.
After several research about the american scholar system, I've found that I
need an university which can deliver a Bachelor of Science.
Now my problem is : The "majors".
I'd like to study about computers, but I've found several majors : Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Software Engineering...
What are the differences ? How to choose ?

Overall, can anyone tell me which one has more job opportunity computer
science, computer engin... Career in computer science I am currently going to North Central Texas College in Corinth, Texas,
for my associates of applied science in computer information and

one at a local university. I've looked through several online course
catalogs but don't see anything that is very similar. I'm calling on

most US colleges as their comp. eng. program are largely integrated with

to overall. Specifically, I'm trying to find the best Computer Science
schools. Anyone know where I can find such information?-USN&WR, Gourman, CRA/NRC, Business Week. They all do... probably the most
accurate IMHO is the Business Week poll. They actually poll computer
scientists. NCR/CRA is good, but sorely out of date. Gourman is garbage.

without a degree in computer science (in fact, I started with only a
tech school diploma). I went on to earn a BSCS, but now find myself
needing to either earn a masters degree or get out! What I truly find
amazing is that most computer work does not require college-level
training in computer science. For example, have you ever used simple
theory like "Big 'O'" or "DeMorgan's Theorem" in solving a problem

knowing that you start at the bottom and work your way up, $10 an hour

areas for improvement before ge... Advice about CNE training.... The course I'm thinking of taking is suppose to last about 6 months.
They have graduated 120+ people. The cost is just under $4000. The
completion rate is 95% and the first time pass rate (of the actual CNE
test) is 97%. The course is one part lecture and alot of hands on. The
salary I've been told for the RTP area is in the low 30s for just
having a CNE-3. I plan on coming through this (if I do it) with a
CNA-3, CNE-3, CNA-4 and CNE-4. It really sound almost too good to be

Outst... Learning Computer Science with Pascal I am about to purchase Delphi. In addition to learning programming
with Delphi, I would like to increase my understanding and knowledge
of Computer Science.
From what I understand Pascal is a common language for learning
programming and computer science. The two books on computer science I
have available at the library were published in 1990 and I don't even
know that they are even good books. In fact in these two books hard
disks aren't even mentioned as storage devices.
