I was just wondering if getting a masters degree trhough distance learning is a good option? do employers consider it to be the same or close to the same as a regular masters degree? would you recommend any web sites for distance/online masters degrees on computer engineering, or computer science, or software engineering?
A. -There is a great deal of evidence that most (but not all) employers accept it as equivalent. More than a few prefer it, they say, since it shows the person was capable of independent research and study. Some of the links from www.degreeinfo.com and www.degree.net are to sites that describe a great many distance degree schools and programs. Do be careful, since there are also a great many fakes and near-fakes out there. -I obtained my MBA through University of Phoenix Online. I think it was/is valuable.
