Q. Does anyone have any experience, positive or negative, with Comdial's Impact Key phone system and voice mail?I need manuals for comdial phone system: Executech Model 816

A. Trying to get two recently bought phones with it. The "Intercom" button does not work on the spare phones: * Transferring a call * Paging the other stations. * Model: 6706X-PC, Rev. D The old phones do work fine. I need to know how to program the "Intercom" button. 1-770-438-0707 Not all Comdial phones are compatable with all systems you probably have 6414 phones and the 6706's may not be fully compatable, this is a common problem and one of the reasons why I dont sell Comdial. dr.d Beware that if you sign on at one machine it does NOT sign you off at others, like Yahoo does, so your users will have to take some responsibility for the security of their own ID. It is useful as an instant messenger and I find the quality good, get them a headset maybe. I use it mainly for US to UK and it's like 2c a minute or something like that. Free across the US and Canada. What Comdial have you got? A recent one? We have DXP that is only 10 years old but way out of date :) I find this company very helpful and even if they do not do business where you are they may well be able to suggest an associate. www.vodaci.com And maybe even more into hosted VOIP are Lightedge http://www.lightedge.com/ You do need to resist impulsive decisions with phone systems I reckon but these folks both see pretty genuine in trying to give you what you need rather than what they make most money on :)
