Q. Does anyone know what the best colleges are for engineering majors?

A. -Ohio State is a real good engineering school. Most of the undergraduate programs are rated in the top 15 in the country, including the mechanical engineering deptartment, which is #8!!!! -To get a general idea of top undergrad engineering schools, check http://www.usnews.com/usnews/fair/engineer.htm For top graduate schools, check http://www2.USNews.com/usnews/fair/eng1.htm Use this for a general idea only! Just because Smith Institute of Tech. is #1 and Jones Polytechnic Insitute is #11 doesn't mean that Smith is better in everything, or that it is necessarily the better school for you. You can get an excellent education at most of the top 40 schools or so. -New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM is one of the top engineering colleges in the US
