Cisco-PBX ?Q. I connect PBX Hicom 3550 and Cisco 1760 router. I used Qsig on E1 link. On router I have FXO connected to POTS line. I want to reach the FXO from PBX , but I have long waiting time before I access POTS line on FXO. Destination pattern is 7T. When I change timeouts interdigit in port configuration mode nothing changes. A. I have a Cisco AS5300 with E1 interfaces. Also I have an other equipment with PRI interface. I use AS5300 as access server for modems and isdn users. Is possible to do something like this: [PSTN] ----pri----AS5300----pri----[other_equipment_with_pri_interface] I mean AS5300 recives call on pri and checks the dialed number - if its call to the AS establish ppp connection, if it is call to the other equipment with pri it switched call to them. Is it possible? I've got a cisco 4700 with a PRI interface connected directly to a PRI interface on my PBX (Lucent Definity G3r). Incoming calls (from the telco on another PRI and back out to the cisco) work fine. Outgoing calls from the cisco to some numbers seem OK (connect then drop immediately, but I think this is a problem with the far end). But calls to other numbers result in a premature termination with cause code "0x82D8 - Incompatible destination". What is this telling me (other than that the destination is incompatible)? If I'm reading your post correctly you are deriving your PRI for the Cisco from the PBX. All your Cisco calls in and out pass through the PBX. Is this correct? I believe that the cause code you indicate (Incompatible Destination) results from an ISDN data call being attempted to a non-ISDN number. Another thing to look at is the trunks out of the PBX that the Cisco places calls on. Are all your trunks PRI? If not, is the Cisco using a secondary trunk route that is analog when the first, preferred route, is unavailable? I don't have experience with the PBX you mention and am only beginning to work with Cisco equipment and PRI, as an inbound solution only. But, I hope that this has been some help. Of course, if my initial question clarifying your post is incorrect, never mind.
