Cell phone service providers lose 50 lakhs annually to defaulters ?

Edwards Finance > Phones

Q. Every year the cell phone service providers get cheated to the tune of 50 lakhs. The number one cell phone service provider, as per the peoples opinion on citizenbharat.com, Airtel is supposed to have taken some stringent measures to curb the huge losses.

A. Indians rake up huge credit on tea and snacks and never pay back to the poor tea stall owners too. Indians want everything free. They want free land, free bus, free trains, free movies, free everything. I'm about to change to my 3rd cell phone service provider (not sure which one yet). Is it possible to use one of my old phones with the new service provider? Does it depend on the phone? It depends on the type provider and the phone. If your phone is unlocked or you have the programming code then you can change providers as long as the new provider uses the same sort of air interface (GSM, TDMA, CDMA ,etc) and frequency as the old one. There are a few factors to consider. 1. Is it compatible technology? 2. Will the new provider activate your current phone...(probably not if the ESN isnt in there database.
