Cell Phone service plans.... ?

Edwards Finance > Phones

Q. I was wondering if there are any good phone plans like where the monthly fee is around $10 - $15 or something. I need a phone or something like a text messenger that I can talk or type from one person to another for really cheap. I would rather have just a text messenger, but the all are like $15 that seems a bit high for text messenging.

A. I don't use my cell that often. So I got T-mobile's prepaid plan. Fill up to $100 in prepaid minutes (1000 minutes), and you're set for one year without ever having to renew your minutes every 60 days like most prepaid plans. I don't use mine much, either. It a Page Plus and I only have to buy $10.00 (80 minutes) every four months. Very cheap. I should add that Page Plus uses Verizon's network, so it's the same as having a Verizon phone. We've never needed a cell phone, and wouldn't use one except in emergencies, so the Page Plus you mentioned migh work for us. My husband was at dialysis when his graft clogged and he had to go to the hospital. Naturally I was at the grocery store and they couldn't reach me. They sent him in a cab and it worked out okay, but I think he'd feel better if we had cell phones. Just one more thing to think about, but I'm really glad you posted this information.
