Cell phone service ?Q. Well, my two-year contract with Cingular/AT&T finally ran up two weeks ago, and, naturally, my cell phone died today. I'm ready to move to another service. Anybody got T-Mobile? If so, how do you like it, and how is the coverage? A. I have T-mobile and it suits its purpose for me. The phone was free and I only pay $20 a month for a certain plan. I only really use it for emergencies and only have it turned on during long car rides, an hour or more. I have never been cut off. The signal locations are improving more and more. I used to not be able to get a signal within my home, but now I do. The only time I couldn't get a signal otherwise was when I was up in the hills of South Carolina, but nobody could get a signal there, so it wasn't just T-mobile. lol. I remember everyone borrowing one person's phone to make calls because it became known really quickly who *could* get a signal. lol. I have T-mobile and have had it for a couple of years. I absolutely love it. They have a local place to pay or buy accessories. We got our latest phones at Costco, however. I like the plan (tons more minutes than we begin to use). No drop calls ever! That's why I switched. We were losing calls all the time with Verizon and I was pissed!! Also steer clear of Sprint -- I swear they are the worse company out there. We've never needed a cell phone, and wouldn't use one except in emergencies, so the Page Plus you mentioned migh work for us. My husband was at dialysis when his graft clogged and he had to go to the hospital. Naturally I was at the grocery store and they couldn't reach me. They sent him in a cab and it worked out okay, but I think he'd feel better if we had cell phones. Just one more thing to think about, but I'm really glad you posted this information.
