BUY.COM - no customer service ?

Q. I think this will be the last order I place with them. If they don't want to take my call, they don't need to take my money. I may be overreacting a bit, but customer service is very high on my priority list - almost hand-in-hand with pricing. And it's not buy.com's prices are that incredibly low anymore anyway.

A. I have had exactly the same problem with Buy.com And the response from the email is not heartening. Also, I had preordered the "St. Petersburg Museum" set from them and had not received it after it appeared on the site as "ships in 24 hours". Upon emailing, I was assured that the order would be honored. That was 6 weeks ago and have not as yet received this item. An email yesterday was answered with the statement "not in stock". Of course, the price for the item is now listed as $4.00 higher than my original order. They will no longer get any of my business (and last year I ordered over 200 DVD from them.) I never had any problem with their web page (even within the last couple of weeks). Try again, you are probably missing something (like a button at the bottom that brings you to yet another page where you can do the actual return/exchange thing). Buy.com's really slipped in the customer service dept. I remember when (not so long ago) they had live, online service reps. You could browse the web while you waited the few minutes until an online rep was available. Now you can't even phone them. What a shame!
