Finance Q&A

VOIP System AU$9,500 ?

Edwards Finance > Phones

Q. The mentioned system is a turn-key system. In today's environment most businesses will consider pricing as being a deciding factor A deciding factor. One of many. An established business with >knowledgeable IT staff would not see price as critical as support even for a >"turn-key system".

A. I would have said "especially for a turnkey system". After all, the point of a turnkey system is that it is a black box as far as the customer is concerned. The customer _depends_ on vendor support in this instance. There is a combination of support together of 2 days training for the Administrator, and to this point it has worked very well for us. The only "issue" if I can call it an issue, which in my opinion is not, is when they want to add extra staff and on complex dial-plans which can be a bit of a challange for the network administrator, we prefer to make the necessary changes, but this is part of the contractual agreement. What amuses me is that apparently "qualifications" make you right. Gee, that means Dr. Death in Qld was right and no-one has any reason to suspect him. Gee, means that my mechanic never stuffs up fixing my car and WOW that the Treasurer of our nation isn't ever wrong!
