A. Look at the CD ROM of the "Palmer Index to the London Times" and look up your man there. Then look at the corresponding entry in the "London Times" and you should find a cross-reference to the "London Gazette" where the original notice was published. Then look at the "London Gazette" for that entry and search the next few months for subsequent entries. There should be at least one where the officers of the bankruptcy were elected and perhaps another where the bankruptcy was cleared. Then look at the "London Times" or preferrably a more local paper around those dates for more "lurid" details.
