Q. I declared bankruptcy in 2002. I kept one vehicle loan for a car that I had bought prior to the bankruptcy, without any official re-affirmation (as advised by my attorney) and I paid off the loan in full a year ago. However, all the credit reporting agencies are reporting this loan as "included in bankruptcy" and puts a nice ding in my otherwise recovering credit. I've disputed it and it was confirmed. I called the bank and they said it should NOT be listed that way, but the credit agencies will not seem to fix it. Is this a normal thing? Any advice on how I can best get it fixed, if it's possible to do so?
