Which Sprint PDA phone is the best????

Edwards Finance > Phones

Q. I've had most of the Sprint smartphones since day one - Qualcomm, Samsung, Treo 300, 600, and then the very first Treo 650 to be unloaded in my home town. On the business side of my life, I've had Blackberry and Motorola. My new 755p has taken a lot of hits because it's no great departure from its predecessors, but to me that's one of its attractions - it's just more of the same excellence. The day I opened the box I knew 99% of what was needed to operate it properly, and owned hundreds of dollars worth of tried-and-true software for it. Further, I had absolute trust earned by the combination of Sprint and Palm. Their stuff just plain "works".

A. No, but since you've made a big deal over it I've uninstalled the toolbar, thereby losing many of my addresses. I never said it was anyone's fault. I'm sorry if my business signature bothers you or anyone else. Ok, since you are new to this, I'll let you in on something I found: "How to Tell If Your Device is a Smartphone or Pocket PC Phone" at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/OSversions.mspx "I've been very happy with this device, but I don't know too many differences between the Trio and the other PDAs that are out there. I've heard that processor speed on several other pda models out there is half the speed of mine, and I'm currently running 416 MHZ processor with Windows Mobil 5.0. I may upgrade in a year or so to the PC6800 which has Windows Mobile 6.0 on it, but this of course is dependent on funds. I'd have gone with the 6800 now, but I got the 6700 for free and simply switched my service over to it." Sounds like you did OK for the price. I'd wait. Who knows, maybe in 6 months they will have an even neater phone than the Mogul. Besides, the Mogul is really for left handers because when the keyboard slides out, you have the button on your left hand. It's probably a good idea to avoid the phones shipping from Hong Kong. There have been several incidents of "long range phones" being sold in the US that don't meet US FCC regs. The last thing you need is some guys in suits showing up to confiscate your phones. There is a cell outfit (forget which) that is advertising phones which also work on your local WiFi LAN. If available in your area, that may be an option with the added selling point you have a local hot spot for travelers. The usual order of things with the FCC for something like this is to first send essentially a cease and desist letter that must be answered. If you don't answer the letter or continue the violation, they up the ante. If the phones happen to interfere with public safety, the chances are good the first contact will be a personal visit as the FCC takes that more seriously than interference with someones TV or the local HAMs. They may also ask where you got the phones and if from a US source will come down on the seller.
