Engineering I'm a 16 year old sophmore in highschool, and i want to be an engineer when

"Architects just draw plans" -- No matter how many times it is mentioned
that Architects are professionals who take on an Architectural project from
start to finish, from conception to completion, the majority of building
owners in the public realm still think that "Architects just draw plans" and
that they are an "unaffordable luxury".
Some Architects describe the professional role as that of an agent between
the owner and contractor ... Architecture Vs. Structural Engineering I'm a high school student with a strong creative bent and interest in
design. I'm looking for information about architecture and how it
differs and relates to structural engineering, what their different
functions are in the field, and what a typical day's work is for each.
PS, I'm a bit more interested in the science than the design aspect,
so I was wondering if you could especially stress the differences in
that area.-The architect is concerned with the whole building...from the ... Wanted Architectural Engineering College Highschool student looking to combine art and engineering talents.

engineering in the U.S. For example, I would like to know where the first

trouble deciding between getting a degree in architecture or a degree in

that I never heard of anyone who does this. Where would I learn the finer
points of sound, and the theories behind what makes a room sound good. Would
